Weather is getting hotter, and wearing out the players even more. If you check out the point standing, you can see the affects of just one game, or even how many points you can loose by leaving early. I think this year will be a knock out drag out race to the final three winners in points. The field is growing back in nicely, and it making it harder to see the opposing team at distance. I cant wait until its all grown in so you newer guys to the field cane see how tough it can be. We started off the first game with a Leprechaun game. The Leprechaun and his associates had to retrieve their gold and bring it back to their base, while the Hunters of the Chaun had to capture the gold, and also try to capture the Leprechaun. Some very good game play went on, and no issues, other then a respawn issue I didnt think about so thats my fault, but was a fun game nonetheless. Everyone played fair, and was a fast paced game. The Leprechaun was successful in retrieving one thing of gold, and was able to avoid being captured. The Hunters of the Chaun got away with a good amount of gold. I bet right now they are celebrating with a bunch of brew back in their village. Second game we went back again and tried a capture and defend of base A since the tar paper was put up making it hard to see who was where inside the base. The attacking team bragged about they were going to take the base within five minutes. Well, that didnt happen. Some hard pushes from the east side of the base, but the defenders shown they had the upper hand with their defense. Base A does have some weaknesses, but its only a matter of time before a team is able to take the base. We broke for a short lunch, and as well lost some players as they were over heating, or were worn out. We played attack and defense on Base A again, so the other team had a chance to try and take the base. The attacking team was more aggressive this go round, and reached the base several times. Peter, yet again, was able to sneak up to the base using the weak spot on the southwest side of the base. Why no one learned from the last game day that Peter can do this, is beyond me. He snuck all the way up to the wall UNDETECTED, and took out four of the five base defenders before being taken out. Had there been communication between him and his team so they could support him, I am willing to bet they would of taken the base, and captured the cylinder. This is just another example of how radio's would benefit a team. Or at least yell out to your team mates. This was the closest to being taken as this base has been since rebuilt. I cannot wait until we get the other bases rebuilt so we can try those out. We had one incident, where Orion fell into an animal hole and scraped up his arm. Good thing it wasnt too bad, and he will heal up. Everyone needs to be aware that this is woods and animals do live out there. Watch where we step and also look out for one another to make sure no one is hurt, and assist them if need be. We have a great bunch of players, and we are still growing. Lets keep it up, and make sure to drink plenty of water the night before game day. Its getting hot so lets be aware of the heat factor. Also, if you are wondering why you may not be up there in points, it is probably because of one of two reasons. 1. Not showing up to each game day. or 2. Leaving early. Keep that in mind if you are wondering. Just because you leave early, does not stop point games. Again, was a great day of slinging bb's, so see you all next game day.
MVP of the day - Peter. Again. Yes, again......
