Well today was probably the hottest day we have had all year so far. Just shows it will be getting worse. We still had a nice breeze in the staging area. Thank you to all who helped move the frame so we can get it set up next time we are out there. Then we can work on getting a canvas cover for the top. Will be nice to have a large shaded area.
First game we used two bases we haven't used in a long time. Base C and the HQ. Both bases need some TLC but we will get them fixed up. Teams seemed to be evenly matched, except team 2, out smarted team 1. So all in all, was a good game nonetheless.
We played two infection games afterwards using Poenari Fort, Base A, which needs repair, and the radio tower. Poenari is another base that was a victim of these teenage punks destroying stuff. So here again, our newest base, is worse then any other. First infection game was easily taken over by the attacking force. Not hard with a base that is in that much need of repair. This base used to be the hardest base to take over. It will one day be that way again. The second infection game, the defenders were able to hold the radio tower. Which is probably the hardest base to defend being it is so open.
I do have to give credit where credit is due. Little Devin S. was being really alert today. The infection games he was calling out the enemy, and in the second game, constantly got people out. Which was a huge help to defending the base. He was eventually taken out, but he was in a cross fire. So I doubt anyone else in his shoes could of gotten out of that. Good job Devin.
Now the last game, we did a attack and defend of the HQ. This game was a messed up game. One, the attacking team had half their team not even play. I chose the teams this way for a reason. Here we have spencer, who is motivated, and a fast player, Devin S. who is hit or miss, but did a good job this game, sleepy, who just refused to do anything but sit in the respawn, and adam who sat in there as well. The goal here was to get these guys more motivated by watching spencer. Obviously this was a fail. 2 out of 4 are not going to win that scenario. Two of you guys ultimately hurt your team. A little effort could of won that easily. The defenders had a longer respawn. Hopefully we get to see some of you get a little more motivated in the future. Its just one of the things I look at for promotions. Yes they really don't mean much on an airsoft team, but it shows a lot about who you are as a player and person. Yes I know its hot. It sucks yes, but a lot of us out there could use the exercise to loose some weight. lol. The last thing about this scenario was the defection of one player who stated they were going to talk to one of the opposite team members to try and get them motivated. Then turned himself into an attacker without letting anyone know. This is wrong on so many levels. If we need a player to go over to the attacking side to get some action, then we will do so as needed and everyone will know. So if you notice the points, the attackers did not receive them, as they were awarded to the defenders. Just let the team know, or ask me if you can switch teams. This way we can get people properly informed.
One thing I find amazing, is the fact all of us adults, the ones 40 years old and up, have more motivation to play then the younger ones. Theres something wrong with that picture. Maybe you kids need to sleep more prior to a game day.
We might have to move one person to squad one. Maybe. Two people who are on squad one, I don't think will be out too often. This will hurt squad one's chances of being competitive. I will be looking into this further.
All in all a good day of slinging bb's. Lets try and recruit some more people, and get our old ones back in the fight. Until next game day, rest up, clean your gear, and like always, if you read these AAR's, leave a comment down below of maybe a game highlight you liked that I missed. I award 25 points to those who participate in these AAR's. Has to be the current one only. You have up until midnight of the next tournament to comment on this one.
