Yeah yeah I forgot tournament #6 aar. Sue me. lol. Well lets get on with it. Yes it was hotter then normal this game day. Barely a breeze made this the most miserable game day so far this year. But we still had fun. So with that, lets get on with it.
This game day we only played a few games due to getting rained out, but we still played several games. Both teams seemed to be well balanced, as stalemates happened more so then wins. I will say this again though, please stop calling peoples hits. There is absolutely no need to fly off the handle and get pissed because you feel someone didn't call the hit. Not saying they aren't being hit, but sometimes we think we hit people when in fact, we weren't. Now with that said, you all know the proper thing to do is to tell me. I have no problems going back to the truck to drop my gear, to go back on the field to be the ref. This doesn't bother me one bit. I would rather play, yes, but have no problems being a ref.
With that out of the way lets talk about the players and the field. Lets try to keep a better eye out for one another. I don't want anyone out there getting lost. You as a player need to be mindful of your location. If it doesn't look like part of the field we play on, then turn around. Also the tree's are painted yellow so lets keep our eyes out for that as well. Maybe I need to put nylon rope around the boundary. If you need a map, by all means go into the forums and print out a map and keep it on you. For one it is smart to do anyway to plan stratagies with your squad mates. Keep in mind the field has a road on three sides of it, so you will eventually run into one of them. Make the long walk around if you have to, but do not panic. Just take a deep breath, and try to re orientate yourself with the field.
Lastly, if anyone has wood, pallets, screws, etc etc, lets start gathering it up. Soon I would like to repair the field and get it back to the way it used to be. I want to do a test run out there for a sort of pay to play day to invite others, instead of going out to the compound. If it works out better, we might just use our own field, and also keep it on a Sunday too.
Ok so like I have been doing all year so far with these AAR's, heres your weekly question. What is your favorite scenario, and what games would you like to play more of?
I would like to see more people read these AAR's and participate in them. Remember you get extra points for taking part in these AAR's. Until next time, rest up, drink plenty of water, and keep yourself hydrated.
